This game looks nice, but that's honestly not hard with store bought assets these days.

And everything, I mean EVERYTHING has been ripped off Banished & The Settlers.

Core gameplay buggy (villagers go missing while being re-assigned)

7 years of development, a game-breaking bug like this, simply should should not exist.

Combat is too easy to manipulate. You can defeat any number of bandits with a single fighter.

This makes Gold for the Treasury too easy to get & an army of mercenaries instantly at your command.

This is a major balance issue & again should have easily been picked up during development.

Finally there is nothing to spend your regional wealth on except trade goods, except there is no reason to ever import anything.

If you are failing at managing your town, you wouldn't have the excess supplies to sell to bring in wealth. So you would never be able to afford to pay the high trade fee & then import those expensive goods you desperately need.

The game is currently unplayable due to the lack of compatibility with "modern" systems, which is strange, since TR4 plays perfectly fine on Steam.

There are some tools and settings you can play around after some online research, but the overall experience is not what you would expect from purchasing a game in 2024.
