Cthulhu: The Cosmic Abyss
I was quite excited for this game when it was announced and the demo was great. However when it came to the game itself it was very lack luster.

Some Spoilers ahead:

From the trailer you'd think you'll be going back and forth from the research lab to the swamp, trying to determine what is reality. But no, the swamp portion is on the tutorial and most of the game is set in the lab.
Despite the atmosphere the gameplay is very dull. The player has no real urgency or any form of threat towards them to justify the horror. All you're getting is a walking sim with some puzzles and quite a few bugs.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME!
This Is NOT Call of Duty.

A bit of camping is fine. It has always been part of the game. But when 50% of the players spend the entire match sitting in a corner, waiting for someone to walk past, something is seriously wrong.

And no, the movement is not a matter of getting used to it. It is a matter of how the game is being developed. Modern developers seem to have forgotten how to create simple, smooth and natural movement. Instead, everything feels unnecessarily complicated, clunky and mechanical. Sometimes it genuinely feels like you're playing with lag, even when your connection is fine.

And then there's the hit registration. Absolutely embarrassing. You can literally watch the kill feed and see that eight shots from you straight to the chest seem to do less damage than two shots from your opponent hitting your legs. How are you supposed to take a competitive shooter seriously when gunfights feel like a complete lottery?

This game feels like pure consumerism, designed to keep people buying and grinding rather than delivering a genuinely fun and competitive experience. It no longer feels like the Call of Duty we grew up loving.

I really miss the old days, when things were simple. Smooth movement, satisfying gunfights and skill actually making a difference. If you were good at the game, you could dominate, have great matches and genuinely enjoy yourself.

Of course, there were campers and sweaty players back then too, but it didn't feel like every single match was the final of the World Championship.

Nowadays, even if you're good, every match feels like a tournament final. You have to sweat your ass off every single game against people who are too scared to move, clunky mechanics and gunfights where you can't even understand why you lost.

Call of Duty should be about fun, fast-paced action and skill, not constant stress and frustration.

Unfortunately, this doesn't feel like COD anymore. And the worst part is that it seems like the people developing the game have completely forgotten what made this franchise so great in the first place.
Days Gone
This is arguably the game's greatest strength.

- Hordes can consist of a massive number of zombies.

- Once they spot you, they can pursue and surround you.

- You have to carefully consider your movement and how you’ll make your escape.

- Things get particularly interesting later on, once you have access to more weapons and options.

My advice: Don't feel like you have to take down every horde you encounter early on. Sometimes, it’s smarter to run away and return once you’re better equipped.

2. ?️ The Motorcycle and the Survival Experience

Your motorcycle is more than just a means of transport. You need to keep track of:

- Fuel.

- Damage and repairs.

- Upgrades.

- Performance enhancements.

This creates the genuine feeling that you are traveling through a dangerous world, rather than simply moving from one mission to the next.

3. ? Atmosphere and Open World

Forests, abandoned structures, fog, rain, and shifting weather conditions do an excellent job of establishing a post-apocalyptic atmosphere.

The game truly shines when you’re riding through the woods as dusk falls, and you suddenly hear enemies lurking nearby.
Titanfall 2
One of the most underrated, greatest single player campaigns of the last 20 years. I already owned this on the PS4 and bought it again on the PC to try out the new VR mod with my PSVR2 and PS2PC Adapter. It does the near impossible task of making an already great game even better and more immersive. You can't go wrong in our out of VR. One of the best, just wish it was longer but it's hard not to ask for more of a good thing.
